This project represents Gotion’s first official off-grid system deployed in Europe, marking an important milestone in delivering fully independent energy solutions. The system was designed to provide reliable power to an organic farm operating without any grid connection. Due to the remote location, a stable and autonomous energy supply was essential for daily operations.
The installation combines solar PV generation with our battery energy storage system to create a self-sufficient energy ecosystem. During periods of sufficient sunlight, the PV system charges the battery while simultaneously supplying power to the site. When solar generation is insufficient, the stored energy is used to maintain continuous operations.
To ensure reliability at all times, a backup generator is integrated into the system. This generator automatically supports the system when both solar production and battery capacity are insufficient, guaranteeing uninterrupted power availability. The intelligent energy management system seamlessly coordinates between PV, BESS, and the generator.
As a result, the farm benefits from a stable, fully autonomous power supply that supports its operations throughout the year. The solution reduces dependency on fossil fuels while maintaining high reliability and efficiency. This project demonstrates the viability of off-grid energy systems in Europe and highlights the potential for sustainable, independent energy solutions in remote applications.
